Have u guys heard about the 2 minutes icecream before? First time tahu masa baca blog Cik Epal. and I was one of the fancy jakun bila tahu pasal ni sebab icecream adalah benda yang paling malas aku nak 'homemade' sebab leceh. And bila ada benda macam 2 minutes icecream ni, i got really moonstrucked!

So i give it a go.

And i failed. Haha sadly for me, it tooks more than 2 freaking minutes! Maybe sebab aku slow sangat. Wasnt speed enough kekeke. or maybe because it was my first time. It turned out that i need 8 minutes to let the icecream hardened. And the ice-batu is not always available in store. Then I tried again, this time without the ais batu, and without the raw eggs. It works! :D

To make the icecream less boring, (though eating plain vanilla icecream has never been boring!), i decided to top the icecream with mua favourite baked peach sauce.... mamamia!

Vanilla Icecream: (recipe )
2 cups of heavy cream
1 can of  sweetened condensed milk.
Vanilla extract

How:
1.Whip the heavy cream to stiff peaks. Add vanilla, sugar and mix in the condensed milk.
2. Freeze it!

Peach Sauce:
1/4 cup butter (plain, not salted)
5 tablespoons brown sugar
Pinch of cinnamon powder
3 Peaches (i bake it first. But u can skip the bake part if u want to)
 Vanilla extract (optional)

How:
1. On medium heat, melt butter and cinnamon. Then, add sugar, stir till dossolve.
2. Add peaches and vanilla. Saute the peaches till they are soft.
3. Stir till thicken. Pour over icecream. Wallahh~

To avoid having an awkward shape of icecream like mine, use an icecream scoop if you have it! :D

Have fun trying!

Creative Workshop on Poster Designing

Sunday, March 17, 2013

I was invited as the speaker and instructor on Creative Workshop in Poster Designing, organized by Kuliyyah of Pharmacy in IIUM. It was fun, and the organizing comittee told me that they received a lot of positive feedbacks from the participants alhamdulillah! I really  hope they benefits a lot from the workshop.

This would be the third workshop that i joined as the instructor. The comittee contacted me last semester confirming the payment and all the details. I was a bit worried sebab jadual selalu packed, so maybe kene cancel. Sebelum ni banyak tolak offer for instructing workshop luar sebab tarikh selalu clash dengan tarikh exam uia. This time punya workshop pun dah squeeze habis, where i have factory visit in KL and Negeri Sembilan one day before the workshop, and i actually prepared and edited my modules in the bus. The next day terus siap-siap pergi workshop. Alhamdulillah it turns out well and insyallah there might be the second part of this workshop again. *finger crossed*

Some of the participants. Seats are full.

The workshop consist of 4 parts where i briefed about the basics of poster making, the features of the software and some hands on on how to make posters from scratch. Yes, from scratch! I remember the reaction from the participants when i said that they can make this particular poster from scratch and they were overwhelmed haha. Good for them! :D The thing is, most of the posters nowadays, especially at university levels were googled, then with some texts dumped on it. But in this workshop, I try to implement that they can make even the background themselves without depending on googles. I also teach the participants on some basic skills in designing and how to use those basic skills to design something enormous.

I was happy on how the workshop turns out. Some personally thanked me and wanted to join private tutoring class on designing. But since i'm a bit busy so i might need to consider about that first. and Alhamdulillah there are more invitations on being the workshop speaker in the future, so for those who missed the workshop this time, u maybe can join me in my next workshop.

Special thanks to the comittee members for the vip treat and great job on the programme. And all the participants were really nice, i feel so thankful! Also, Sue for being my assistant that day, muah love you babe!

Till then, Happy day people! :)
